I posted on facebook, asking if our lake had a boat parade. No one mentioned that we did, and that I should organize one. So here it is! I apologize for the short notice, but this is the best I could do while still working and trying to get something together.
I will endeavor to do a better job next year.

Lake Tawakoni Christmas Light Boat Parade
Saturday, December 20th, 2025
This is NOT an official event - sponsored by the city or otherwise.
This will be an informal gathering & parade - Everyone is Welcome!!!
We will meet up along Two Mile Bridge (both North & South Side) starting at 5 pm. (This way the cars along the bridge can see us all before we start out)
Launches can be made from both Two-Mile Bridge West & East Public Boat Ramps (or whatever spot is closest to you)
Parade will start at 6 PM.
We will make our way counter clock-wise around the entire lake ending back up at 2 mile bridge.
If there is someone (possibly fishing guides or longtime residents) more familiar with the lake than me (especially shallow areas, rocks stumps, etc.) I would like to ask one of you to lead us around the lake.

UPDATE:
Well, The First Christmas Light Boat Parade sure was a bust. Only 1 boat showed up. I think it was because of the really short notice. (Only 1 week out!) I will try to reach out to West Tawakoni city council to try to get this better organized for next year. I apologize to everyone.
Although, I really would have guessed out of 18 people going, 315 interested, and 58 people that had forwarded it to their friends, I sure would have bet that more than 1 boat might have showed up.
