We went fishing off the dock this weekend with a neighbor.  It only took a few minutes until we caught several big catfish.  It was the first time fishing for the kids.  They were so excited.  Colton, Ellery, and even Delanay all caught some big ones.  Blue Catfish and Channel Catfish, and some Carp ranging in size from about 1 foot long to 3 foot long.  It was surprising. And we saw another bald eagle. Oh and we did more painting.  Almost all the ceilings done downstairs.  And our lake house now sleeps 10.  It's been slow but we are getting there.  I will post some bedroom photos later.

 Had a plumber come out and take a look at our massive water leak under the bathtub.  If you live around Lake Tawakoni and have a water leak or plumbing issue, call K & K Plumbing.  903-527-3696 https://krodleplumbing.com/  They were fast, honest, and affordable.  I highly recommend them. We got some new living room furniture for the place and got some of it moved down and into the house. We made some more progress in the downstairs bedrooms too.

 We can finally do laundry at the house and once we get it all spruced up, so can you.  We now have a washer and dryer that we can use at the lakehouse.  I wanted to thank both Uncle Tommy and Andrew Schutz for helping us out with this.  You guys are awesome.  Can't wait to have ya'll over to see the place and spend some time there.

 The neighbors around here had said that there were lots of bald eagles around the lake.  I didn't really believe them until this weekend.  There was a giant bird shadow trailing across the lawn, I look up and sure enough, a giant bald eagle flying directly over our house.  This isn't my picture.  I wasn't fast enough to grab my phone. Anyways.  This weekend we got the texturing in the downstairs bedrooms finished and some beds set up.  Now the kids don't have to sleep on blow up mattresses and we can have family down to stay the night too. We almost finished priming the living room.  Next up is painting the living room ceiling, priming and painting the downstairs bedroom ceilings. Fun. Fun. Fun.  And we added the new smart locks to the place We went with the Ultraloq.  I will give you feedback on it after we have used it more.  So far I like it, and installation and setup was really simple.

Here's a run down of what we got done this past weekend.  1) Ceiling texture.  Now that the popcorn ceilings are down, it's time to pretty them up.  Work was started this weekend and should finish up the next.  2) Updated the thermostats.  3) Continued painting the living room. Walls are all done.  We still need to continue priming the ceiling.   More pictures of this next week.

 This weekend we had the new floors installed in the downstairs bedrooms.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I have to say that I am really happy with the outcome and they look great.  Baby steps.  Progress.  Oh and we found a giant water leak from the shower of one of the bathrooms.  Just great! Now we need to also find a plumber.  If it's not one thing, huh?

 It was a long weekend, but we got a lot accomplished.  The popcorn ceiling that was in the Pink Room, now isn't.  Now to get the final ceiling texturing done. I will post some after pictures soon. We also got the old flooring up in the Grey Room.  We are having the flooring company come out this week to do the final measurements to lay the new flooring in the remaining 2 bedrooms and for the new carpeting upstairs. Like I said.  We got a lot done.

 Snowbear? No, we are not out in the arctic.  No, the wildlife haven't attacked us. Here is our snowbear. We got a really good deal on a utility trailer.  We quickly realized that we needed a way to transport large stuff to the cabin, and not having a pick-up, this was the next best option.  So now we can get serious about some remodeling.

We have new logos.  I am soooo excited.  I know, simple things make me so happy.  I found these on a public domain website and then had them tweaked.  If you need some photoshopping and logo design / creation, I got you covered.  Drop me a line and I can give you the info. So.  Here they are.      I have another 2 that I am working on, that I will share after they are done.   OK. Well that didn't take too aweful long.  Here are the other two.  They still need a little cleaning and sharpening up.  Tell us what you think in the comments below.  What's your favorite?             This weekend should be nice.  Get those kids outside while I work on scraping off the popcorn ceilings from 2 rooms.  Thankfully it's only 2 rooms.

  It's been so cold lately that the kids have been unable to play outside.  They have been stuck indoors, going stir crazy, and driving us nuts.  We are getting very little done, and yet we still trudge onward. Finally, we are getting somewhere.  We are closing in on being done with the master.  At least the bedroom part.  Still need to paint the doors, the closet, and a full update on the whole master bathroom. Plus this is only temporary furniture.  The furniture we ordered will not arrive until July.  Great job supply chains.
