The Chilcottage is a great place to spend the holidays.  Just think about it.   Here is our: Top 10 list for staying at the Lake Tawakoni Chilcottage You have room to sleep the whole family.  Our house sleeps 12.  And It's close to DFW. Huge kitchen with open floor plan connecting it to the living room.  You can be cooking and still not miss out on any "Dad" jokes or fun stories.  Plenty of games and fun activities are provided. Puzzles, Board Games, Cards, Dice, Ladder Golf, Cornhole, and on and on. Firepit for roasting marshmallows. Fishing. Kayaks Included for early morning workouts. Power charging for the electric cars of the annoying relatives with one. Morning coffee on the enclosed back porch overlooking the lake. Evening drinks with beautiful sunsets over the lake. IMPORTANT - No laundry to do after they leave. THE BEST - You don't have to actually clean your own home before anyone comes over - our lakehouse is always clean.

We have new T-shirt designs NOW available in the store.  I have created some styles for both Lake Tawakoni and the Chilcottage, plus several silly ones that were just for the fun of it. I thought it would be fun to have.......STAT-urday because it's Saturday. HaHa. Silly.  Anyways here are some fun stats on our STR (short-term rental) and website.  First off...you have to call it a STR now because AIRBNB is like calling tissue, Kleenex.  Because we are now listed on many more rental websites, we are no longer an airbnb but a STR. whatever. anyway.  So now. On with the FUN. Remember. This is only about 6 months in.  We started renting out to the public in March of this year. VISITORS So far......Our furthest visitors have been from England & India.  Bath, England Go Bath Rugby! and Vellore Tamil Nadu India Olympic champions! Pretty neat. To the tune of the Eagles - "Everybody's talking 'bout the new grill in town."  Our wonderful neighbors (whom we will miss very much) gave Colton a crazy birthday gift this past weekend. Check out his super fancy grill they gifted us!!! Even the sun thinks it's spectacular. HaHa. I took this pic just as the sun was setting.  Funny. Here are some better pictures. We definitely have stepped up our grilling game at the lake. Got a little work done also.   Had to redo part of the fence in the back yard.  They didn't use pressure treated wood when it was built and slowly but surely its falling to pieces. Same here fence, same here. Anyway - new boards up, just need painted. We put a much larger tv upstairs in "the roost" for the king bed side of the room.
